Update for Parents – April 2nd

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

These are unprecedented circumstances and we hope everyone is finding a routine for their daily lives.

As a school we recommend that pupils do not do more than 2 hours of work per day. We have asked our teachers to set longer deadlines so pupils can pace themselves in completing the work.

The message we have given our staff is ‘this is a marathon not a sprint’. Everyone has to find the balance of keeping a routine of work and looking after themselves.

Pupils should try to do some exercise during the day and fun activities. A selection can be found under the ‘well-being’ section on the remote learning part of the website.

Although the next 2 weeks should have been the Easter Holidays we will continue to set work for the foreseeable future. In these circumstances we felt it better for pupils to spread out the work and try to pace themselves.

If you are having any TECHNICAL difficulties in accessing remote learning, please email IT support at itsupport@gowerton.swansea.sch.uk. A member of staff will respond to you as quickly as possible.

Any queries regarding work should be directed to the subject teacher. If you have any general concerns please contact the school phone number and leave a message.

Our main message is please find the balance between academic work and well-being.

We have many weeks ahead of us and we want everyone to keep safe and well.
