A Student Language Ambassador visited Gowerton at the beginning of June to discuss the importance of learning foreign languages.
Lawrence Archer gave presentations to Year 7 and 8 pupils about the value of languages for business, travel and pleasure before helping pupils develop their speaking skills with quizzes and speaking activities. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were keen to show Lawrence the knowledge and skills they already possess after only studying French for one or two years.
This year our Year 8 Pupil Language Ambassadors attended the Modern Languages Conference held at Swansea University Bay Campus in January where they realised the opportunities which language learning can bring to their future studies and careers.
