Parents/Carers – Reminder for Isolating Year Groups

Parents/Carers – Please see below a reminder of the rules of self-isolation for pupils when they are required to isolate.

As pupils are isolating due to possible contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19, this only requires the pupils themselves to isolate. The only time the rest of the household will need to isolate is if anyone develops symptoms of or becomes ill with Covid-19. If this does happen, you will then be required to book a PCR test at a local testing centre, only going out to get the test done.

These are the rules set by the Welsh Government. Further information can be found by clicking here

Stay at home

You should not:

  • go to school
  • go to the shops (even to buy food or essentials)
  • go to anyone else’s house
  • go to public places or places of worship
  • use public transport or taxis
  • go out to exercise

School Work

Even whilst year groups are isolating, lessons will still take place virtually via blending learning approach on Microsoft Teams.

Pupils will still be expected to follow their timetables at home, and teachers will be teaching online for the pupils to access their education. This may be in the form of a live lesson, pre-recorded lesson or a set assignment.

If you require any technical support or need to borrow a Chromebook off the school for pupils to access their learning at home, please contact the school. (01792) 873461
