Longitude Explorer Prize Success

We are very proud of our team of Year 8 students who were selected to participate in the semi-finalist event for the Longitude Explorer Prize. The team beat off competition from 60 schools with their concept of how they could use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help people to live better. Their idea of developing an AI therapy dog for autistic people impressed the committee so much that our pupils had the chance to meet with technology and enterprise experts last week in London. It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to expand their idea and develop skills in science, technology and enterprise. We are all keeping our fingers crossed that they use the expert advice and amend their idea to impress the judges and reach the final. Pob lwc pawb!
