Congratulations to Carys Henessey from Year 11. In September 2021 Carys was selected to trial for the Welsh U16’s Hockey squad and by January, she was successful in being selected. She represented Wales U16’s in Belfast last year where the team drew the series against Ulster. Carys continues to remain incredibly focussed and has recently been selected into the U18’s squad (a year early) She spent Easter weekend playing for Wales at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff. As a result of her hard work and determination to better herself, she has recently been scouted by American Universities and is hoping to complete a degree and play in the hockey league in the USA.
