Gowerton and Bishopston were involved in a year 10 friendly. The game was another excellent advert for schoolboy rugby and was eventually won by the visitors who crossed for 5 tries against three for the hosts.

Gowerton were well served by prop Nathan Davies and lock Ryan Jones and their man of the match was wing Joe Legg who tackled strongly. Bishopston possessed more pace behind the scrum with centres Ethan Smith and Zac Williams and wing Ben Westerholm all looking dangerous when in possession. At forward Max Arnold was impressive at the breakdown achieving a number of turnovers whilst lock Ian Ambrose competed strongly and their man of the match was No.8 and captain Sam Hyde whose energy and enthusiasm saw him competing strongly in both the tight and open exchanges.

Bishopston scored in the 10th and 15th minutes. First wing Ben Westerholme sprinted clear from halfway and then lock Harry Thomas showed a fine turn of speed to outstrip the cover and score from 30metres.

The hosts were on the board two minutes later when they attacked down the blindside of a 5 metre scrum and wing Dexter Ryde fed scrum half Max Treharne who did well to ground the ball in the corner.

In the 22nd minute the visitors re-established their 10 point lead when a well co-ordinated catch and drive at a lineout allowed flanker Ryan Drewson to claim the score.

Bach came Gowerton and when the visitors were penalised for off side, the penalty was tapped quickly and prop Ethan Guy powered over.

The second half started with Gowerton on the front foot with their back row of Joe Bright-Key, Jack Soproniuk and Will Jones all prominent and they equalised in the 36th minute when a fine break by captain and fly half Sam Cambriani allowed wing Ryde to sprint over in the corner.

The result was very much in the balance, but the visitors clinched a deserved victory in the final quarter when first centre Brad Denty sprinted in from 30 metres and then a clever kick behind the defence was gathered by centre Williams and he completed the scoring.
