FROM THE HEADTEACHER’S DESK

T. S. Eliot called April “The Cruellest Month”, and it is, truly at once a difficult and a defining one for school. As our Year 11, 12 and 13 pupils had their leaving panoramic photos taken, I was reminded once again of just how much effort and activity is squeezed into the short run-up to the exams. Literacy and Numeracy tests are also underway as I write – adding to the feeling around the place that ‘we are all being weighed’. The current very difficult budget cuts we are suffering from make planning for continued improvement a real problem. I am very grateful for the continued support of the Chair of Governors and Governing Body, my staff and of course yourselves in ensuring we do all we can to maintain our place among the elite of Swansea and Wales.
