Following in the footsteps of the British and Irish Lions
Gowerton school’s senior rugby, hockey and netball teams set off for their sixth tour to the southern hemisphere on Monday July 22nd and return three weeks later on Sunday 11th August.
The party of 46 students and 6 staff will be playing fixtures in Hong Kong, Sydney (twice), Tamworth (NSW) and Brisbane. They will also be snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef, jetboating in Sydney harbour, white water rafting on the Barron river and visiting Australia Zoo and Underwater World while they are in Queensland.
When they are in Australia the students will be hosted by Mater Maria Catholic College, Newington College (boys), Ascham College (girls) all in Sydney, Calrossy Anglican School (Tamworth, NSW) and Matthew Flinders Anglican College (Brisbane).
