Fashion show success

To raise funds for the school’s senior hockey, netball and rugby tour to Australia and Singapore in the summer a parental group organised a Fashion show.

The parents; Julie Smith (mum of Olly, year 13), Andrea Northey (mum of Tom, year 13), Naomi Hillen (mum of Ryan Hughes, yr 12) and Allison Tyrrell (mum of Steffan yr 13) set themselves a target of raising £1,000 and far exceeded that with the event raising £2,000.

The show took place at the Purple Badger, Llanrhidian holiday Park where the guests were served lunch. During the lunch, a group of students who are travelling on tour, modelled a variety of ‘prom’ dresses and suits provided by Rowberrys and Dyfed menswear.

Former pupil, Ben Whitehouse compèred the event and tourist Trystan Williams sang ‘Myfanwy’.

Thanks to sponsors of the event; Samphire Hair Design Ltd, Neath Port Talbot College, Gower Coffee, Berwyn slate, The Greyhound/Gower Brewery, Hardingsdown Bunkhouse and the Purple Badger.
