We will have a Christmas raffle this year. The last one we did raised significant funds for the tour, both for individuals and the Central Tour Fund. For the last tour, we relied solely on prizes that students and their families sourced. We had 25 prizes in total ranging from a perfume set to signed Wales & England rugby shirts. All money raised from ticket sales went directly to the students’ individual accounts.
If you could start thinking about sourcing some prizes soon then that would be great – I would like to get the prizes finalised by the end of October half term so that students can then sell tickets between November and the end of term at Christmas.
We have managed to book a bag packing slot at Morrisons in Llanelli for Friday 23rd December. The pupils will not be in school that day as it is INSET. Bag packing is always a good opportunity to raise individual tour funds, and it should be a busy day as it is so close to Christmas.
We shall be arranging 2 hour slots between 9am & 5pm for students to bag pack and raise funds.
