“Two teams of pupils from year 7 and 8 competed in the “First Lego League” competition at Swansea’s Waterfront Museum today (17th January 2020).
Having worked tirelessly over the last few months to prepare for the day, pupils competed against 17 other teams and were challenged to:
Both teams showed excellent determination, resilience, problem solving skills and of course team work.
We are very proud of all of the individuals who took part!
Our year 8 team “School of Blocks” were rewarded for their excellent team work and communication during the “Core Values” challenge which saw them finish in first place and collect the coveted Lego trophy.

Microbit Programming Music Project – Pupils from year 7 and 8 programmed a Microbit to play the national anthem. Pupils needed to decide how long each note should play for and use programming loops where required to create the desired outcome.

Microbit Programming Art Project – Pupils were challenged to program a Microbit to display Welsh words of phrases the Microbit was then incorporated into a Welsh building or symbol created from recycled materials.
