Year 7 hockey win at Bae Baglan

The year 7 girls’ hockey team played against Bae Baglan. The girls who played were; Lucy Harris, Nia Williams, Mia Williams, Carys Lewis-Hopkins, Olivia Ratti, Bethan Parry, Ellie Vaughan, Martha Henson, Daisy Steadman and Luchia Sarsfield.
The girls who scored were Olivia Ratti and Luchia Sarsfield and Gowerton won 2-1.
In the first half we tended to ‘huddle’ but Olivia was able to score our first goal.
At half time, we discussed how we could spread out more and improve our tackling in defence and in the second half we improved on what we had talked about at half time. Bae Baglan equalised but Luchia Sarsfield scored our second goal after a pass from Mia Williams and this meant we were in the lead again!
This was our first go at using short corners and we defended our goal to the best of our ability.
