Gowerton School students have achieved three gold, nine silver and nine bronzes in this year’s United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Junior Maths Challenge.
Over 240,000 students across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze. The challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour and is sat under normal exam conditions.
Well done to all students who participated in the challenge and congratulations to the certificate winners. Particular congratulations to Gina Romanello, Callum Evans and Amelia Stevens for their gold awards. Gina also won awards for the best result in year 8 and the best result in the school. Also to Sophie Dunlop who won an award for the best result in year 7.
