Last week, Gowerton School’s Year 7’s Hockey team travelled to Carmarthen to compete in the Welsh Schools’ Hockey Tournament.
There was some tough competition with over 16 schools competing and the likes of Bishopston and hosts Queen Elizabeth competing; however this did not put the team off. The girls were defeated in their first 2 matches against local team Maesydderwen & Bro Myrddin and kept a clean sheet drawing against Ysgol y Strade & QEHS. Despite the girls excellent performance, their superb attitudes on the day & for being a credit to Gowerton school, they came away empty handed.
