4 teams of pupils from Year 7 and 8 took part in an RAF Robotics competition hosted by Technocamps in Swansea. They attended the final on Thursday 30th June at the Swansea University Campus and had an exciting and eventful day. The 4 teams were:
The task given to the pupils was to create a robot that can thrive in an unusual environment E.g. another planet or a desert, and they needed to be able to explain the features of their robot, how it could survive and how it would communicate information back. The pupils worked very hard to build their robot, create a presentation and code the robot to complete live challenge tasks on the day.
There were many teams in attendance from all over Wales with 4 prizes up for grabs. We are very pleased to say that 2 of our teams (The Digital Geniuses and The Excited Explorers) were successful in receiving two of these prizes.
Miss Roberts is extremely proud of them all and all 4 teams were winners in her eyes! Well done!
