Throughout September the Charity Committee has been coordinating a shoe box appeal for the
refugee camps in Greece. This was prompted by an awareness that the people in these camps are
in dire need of the most basic essentials. All year groups (and staff) were involved and thanks to
the fantastic reaction, over 200 shoe boxes were filled for children, teenagers, women and men in
the camps on the island of Kos. In addition, £170 cash was raised to pay towards the cost of transporting
the boxes.
