Industrial Strike Action planned for Thursday, 13th July 2023
The NASUWT teaching union has informed Swansea Council that it intends to stage localised industrial strike action at secondary schools in Swansea on Thursday 13 July 2023.
We have been informed by the council that they are continuing dialogue with the union to try to avert this action but feel we need to give you advance notice so that you can make alternative arrangements should it take place.
If the strike proceeds on the Thursday, we will have to close the school to pupils on this day. This decision is based on a risk assessment and discussions with the Chair of Governors.
We will contact you again next week to confirm if the strike action is taking place.
