It was wonderful to return to the Brangwyn Hall to hold our North Gower Partnership Concert. We have waited four years for this due to the pandemic. It was worth the wait as everyone involved enjoyed the outstanding event. The 1000 strong audience heard a variety of music. Each partner primary school choir performed a selection of songs from traditional Welsh to songs from Musicals. Gowerton School had a selection of choirs, soloists and instrumental ensembles including Windband, String Orchestra, Rock Band and Sax Quartet. Junior choir and Senior girls’ choir also performed. We were privileged to have the support of Dunvant Male Choir to join our Male voice choir for Calon Lan and Sospan Fach. Dunvant then performed a hymn to inspire children and adults with their beautiful, traditional, Welsh harmonies. On the stage we had performers aged from three to eighty three. The event culminated in everyone returning to the stage to perform ‘Yma o Hyd’ and ‘Hen Wlad fy Nhadau’.
