Last Thursday the year 8 netball team had a dramatic match against Pontarddulais. The overall result was 4-3 to Gowerton. Gowerton got off to a flying start, the score was one all at half time with Lucy Lewis-Colwell, goal attack, scoring the first goal of the match for Gowerton. After half time Gowerton continued to score two more goals but Pontarddulais made a strong come back scoring three goals to equal Gowerton. As a result the points went to three all before Gowerton snatched another goal with seconds to spare to clinch the game in a thrilling finale.
Player of the match was Lucy Lewis-Colwell, who scored all four goals for Gowerton with assistance from Amy MacNab, goal shooter. There were good performances from: Freya Morgan, Raia Richards, Isla MacNab, Ellie Thomas, Hannah Foden, Lucy Lewis-Colwell, Rosie Meredith and Siannalee Pratten.
