The year 7 hockey team played two games against Cwmtawe and Gwyr.
Gowerton: 2 Cwmtawe: 0
Gowerton started off against Cwmtawe and we ended up with a 2-0 win. The team was very strong and got around them quick and fast.
Cwmtawe passed the ball strongly but slowly and that allowed us to get in between them turn the ball around and pass to another team mate.
Our two goals were scored by Olivia Ratti and came after passes from Lucy Harris and Daisy Steadman. In the end it was a successful win.
Gowerton: 0 Gwyr: 1
Our second game was against Gwyr. They were an amazing team that worked together well, calling to each other, getting into space and passing the ball to each other extremely hard. We also worked very hard. The ball was bouncing back and forth across the pitch, but in the end Gwyr passed the ball better and scored a goal to win 1-0. We kept trying to equalise until the end.
Our best players were defenders Ella Thompson-Jones and Ellie Vaughan and midfielder Ella Williams.
