We were pleased to return to Ypres this weekend for the first time since the pandemic to attend the Menin Gate Ceremony. This year Head Girl, Nia Owen and Deputies, Tristan John, and Lewis Holloway-Fraser, laid a wreath on behalf of the Fallen of Gowerton school at the 8pm Last Post Ceremony on the Friday evening. The next day we visited the Welsh Memorial at Ypres, the impressive Welsh Dragon statue, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Passchendaele Memorial, and many further place of interest. We are very pleased to have restarted this tradition of ours and look forward to future visits.
