The NASUWT teaching union has informed Swansea Council that it intends to stage localised industrial strike action at secondary schools in Swansea on Wednesday 13th September 2023.
We have reviewed our school risk assessment and following discussions with the Chair of Governors and we have made the decision to close the school to pupils on Wednesday 13th September 2023.
The Year 13 Parents Evening that was scheduled for this date, will now take place on Tuesday 12th September 2023.
There is the possibility of two further days of industrial strike action in the following week and I will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible of the arrangements for these dates in due course.
