As you aware City and County of Swansea Schools went ‘cashless’ with how pupils pay for their break/lunchtime food in school canteens. There are machines placed around the school where pupils are able to place money on their accounts and then upon scanning their thumbprint in the canteen, the amount for what they have purchased is deducted.
With the release of the new five pound note, the machines now require updating. We are currently awaiting the update therefore our machines are currently not accepting the new five pound notes.
We apologise for this inconvenience and the issue will be rectified soon.
Until then could we please ask that, when possible, pupils add credit to their accounts by the form of coins or other accepted notes.
