Gowerton School receive Australia and Singapore tour boost.
Gowerton’s senior sports tour to Australia and Singapore has been given a major boost with the donation of £1,500 from the Swansea Rugby Foundation. It’s the fourth time that the Foundation has sponsored the school’s southern hemisphere tours, taking their support to over £5,000.
Their first sponsorship was in 2006 and accompanying that tour was Daniel Biggar. Daniel attended the Foundation’s annual dinner at St. Helens where he took questions from the audience. Amongst those in the audience to ask questions were former Welsh international Paul Thorburn and British Lion David Richards.
During the dinner the Foundation presented the school’s 1st XV players; Tom Northey (captain) and Steffan Tyrrell with the cheque.
