A huge congratulations to all our Year 8 who have successfully completed the First Give Programme. The pupils have been busy raising awareness and participating in social actions in order to support their chosen local charity. The weeks of hard work cumulated in an exciting and tense final, where the finalist groups presented their endeavours. We were privileged to be joined by our Chair of Governors, Mr Morrison Frew and Local Councillor Mrs Susan Jones who along with our Year 9 Youth Advisors, Vanessa Bond and Morgan Smith carried out the very difficult task of judicating the competition. We were all so impressed by the creativity and enterprise conveyed by the pupils who all spoke with great passion and pride. The final winners who were awarded with a £1000 donation to their charity were from 8T who delivered a very emotive and powerful presentation on why and how they were supporting Maggie’s. Well done to Tara Wells, Evie Medwell, Lucia Williams, Chloe Morgan, Eve Macdonald and Millie Knutson Watson. Da iawn!
