St. David’s Day Trip to Disneyland, Paris
7th – 10th March 2024
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am organising a trip for Year 7 and Year 8 (Year 8 and 9 as of September 2023) to Disneyland, Paris in March 2024 as part of the St. David’s Day celebrations.
The provisional itinerary is as follows:
Thursday 7th -depart Penllergaer Services (time tbc) and travel by executive coach to Dover for ferry to Calais.
Friday 8th – arrive at Disneyland Paris at approximately 10:00am where we will spend the day until it is time for our evening meal and book into our hotel, the Campanile Val de France adjacent to the Disneyland Resort. Pupils have hopper tickets for the 2-day visit.
Saturday 9th Disney parks all day (pupils will be allowed to wander around in groups).
Sunday 10th leave hotel after breakfast and head to Calais for return journey by shuttle. Arrive at Penllergaer around 7:00pm.
The cost of the trip is £455 and includes insurance and all activities mentioned in the itinerary. Pupils will be expected to pay for their own lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
If your child is interested, a deposit of £100 will start to be taken from:
WEDNESDAY 7TH JUNE – NO DEPOSITS WILL BE TAKEN BEFORE THEN
Please bring in cash or cheques (NO ONLINE PAYMENTS). All cheques should be made payable to Gowerton School, make sure pupils names are on the back of each cheque and taken to the main office). Deposits are not refundable. Consent forms will be sent out at a later date.
Places will be allocated on a first come – first served basis and we do have a limited capacity of spaces. We plan to take three coaches and once the spaces are filled, we will not accept any other deposits but will add names to a waiting list. Priority will be given to those pupils who did not have the opportunity to attend the trip in 2023
Conduct/Behaviour – please note that if your child conduct in school falls below expectations leading up to the trip, we reserve the right to withdraw them and offer their place to another pupil on the waiting list. We also ask for parents/carers full support in ensuring that your child during the school trip, will accept all rules, regulations and sanctions as detailed in the school rules.
