Travel arrangements for Disneyland 2023.
DEPARTURE TIME
We will be meeting at Penllergaer Services on Thursday 2nd March at 4:15 for a prompt 4:30 departure. Staff will be at the services from 4:00pm. We understand this is an earlier departure than suggested, however there have been issues booking ferries and our travel company has advised us there are no alternative crossings available to such a large group.
Please remember to refrain from parking in the allocated coach bays at Penllergaer Services as this is the safest place for us to load pupils and luggage.
Passports.
All pupils will need their passports, which will need to be handed to a member of staff when boarding the coach.
Medication.
Any medication should be in a bag clearly labelled with the pupils’ names.
Please be reminded that anything the pupils want with them in the park on Friday should be with them in a bag on the bus. Ideally all pupils should have a fully charged portable charger with them in the park to ensure their phone battery is topped up so that they are always contactable. There will be no access to any luggage in the hold until we arrive at our hotel Friday evening.
Pupils can bring a small pillow or blanket with them for the journey; the coaches will be with us for the entire weekend. Pupils can bring food/snacks for the journey.
FERRY CROSSINGS
Dover to Calais Crossing
We will be checking into Dover port at 10:45pm for our crossing on the DFDS Ferry at 12:15am. We will then travel from the ferry terminal, heading straight to Disneyland. We will plan to have two French services stops along the way and then should hopefully arrive for breakfast in the Disney village before the park opens. Pupils will need euros to buy breakfast and lunch on Friday.
Calais to Dover Crossing
We will be travelling on the DFDS ferry and should check in at 11:45am and aim to depart at 13:45 pm. Pupils can purchase food on the ferry, and we will stop around teatime for food in a UK service station. We hope to be back in Penllergaer services at 20:00pm – please be there waiting for pick up as I am sure we will all be exhausted.
Meal Vouchers
Pupils will be issued with meal vouchers for a meal Saturday teatime. Pupils will be able to buy a meal from one of the fast-food outlets in the park using the voucher. This is instead of the sit-down evening meal with staff as this was proving to be challenging with such a large group.
Staff on Duty in the Park
There will always be members of staff available based at Casey’s Corner Cafe in the park should pupils require anything.
Any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
