A busy term, with lots of opportunities being offered to our pupils. Many were lucky enough to attend the computing club each week, where they were greeted by three students from Swansea University’s
Computer Science department who have been running the club with us for the last eight weeks. Pupils have been given the opportunity to develop computational thinking and programming skills using the Python programming language. This has been a great success and is the second year of our partnership with Swansea University to provide such a course. Thank you to Cameron, Gavin and Stephanie from the
University for their time and hard work. Two of our Year 10 Computer Science pupils attended a Coding Masterclass at Tycoch campus recently also. The master class was run by Yard Academy an organisation
specialising in digital technology and online marketing who worked with selected pupils from across the county. Our year 10 pupils Joseph Bennett and Lewis Roberts were some of the youngest pupils to be selected but achieved very well alongside pupils from Sixth Form centres. Well done boys!
