Nineteen pupils from years 8-13 had the honour of representing the school at a memorial service in Belgium for Penry Guy, a world war 2 Gowertonian buried in the village of Asch. Pupils also visited the crash site and saw the superb memorial sculpture which contains parts of the original Lancaster bomber.
Two excellent concerts were given by the brass band with vocal solos from Hannah Thomas yr13 and Miriam Higgs yr10. There was time for fun, too including bike rides, table tennis tournaments and a 3km sensory walk- barefoot!
