Congratulations to Gowerton Bionic Builders on winning a Trophy today for their Robot’s design in the Lego League Cargo competition. Miss Roberts and the school are extremely proud of them and we are looking forward to taking part again next year.
The group were asked to:
Complete a series of challenges with their robot and they scored 190 points – the winner scored 215 – so they were very close!
Develop an idea on how to improve the efficiency of delivering Cargo. The pupils came up with an idea to combine a truck and a small plane. The cabin can turn 360 degrees to avoid blind spots and the plane and take off upright to move cargo over traffic or over sea level.
They also had to demonstrate the Core Values set by the Lego League throughout, including:

Teamwork
Inclusion
Overall, the day went amazingly well and everyone involved had fun and learned a lot.
