Reminders – Back to School
Gowerton School looks forward to welcoming all pupils (Years 7-11) back for the Autumn Term on Tuesday 5th September 2023. We hope everyone has had a relaxing enjoyable summer holiday. Please ensure your child(ren) are ready for the new academic year with the correct uniform (see here) and equipment.
Enrolment for Sixth Form will take place in B17 at 9.00am on Tuesday 5th September. Year 13 start back lessons on Monday 11th September.
The school will closed to all pupils on Friday 1st September and Monday 4thSeptember due to staff inset days.
Tuesday 5th September
Heads of Year will be available between 8.10-8.30am in the following areas to direct pupils to their new form rooms.
Year 7 – Main Hall
Year 8 – A block canteen
Year 9 – Drama Studio
Year 10 – B block canteen
Year 11 – Sports Hall
IPay Impact Accounts
We have now moved over onto iPay Impact for managing children’s accounts for the catering facilities at the school. Squid accounts are no longer in use. Parents should have received all the details for registering their accounts online through the mail and will be able to add funds to accounts from 28th August 2023. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO FACILITIES IN SCHOOL FOR PUPILS TO ADD MONEY TO THEIR ACCOUNTS.
School Bus Passes
Pupils entitled to school bus transport should have received a letter directly from Swansea Council. Pupils should travel on their allocated school bus on the first day and will then receive their bus passes in school.
Traffic Management
A reminder that parents should not drive into school to drop off or collect pupils at the beginning and end of the school day.
Preloved Uniform
Please remember that we have a selection of preloved uniform available at school. If families require any uniform, please contact us on 01792 873461. If families have any uniform they would like to donate, all will be greatly received.
Equipment
We expect all pupils to have a bag and basic stationary.
